The battle isn't completely over, but congratulations owed to Stephen M Cicak and Barth Cotner, while we await the results of Robert Barga's race.
To those that did not prevail, I offer the following quote from Teddy Roosevelt, known as the Man in the Arena:

Little mistake on the calendar!  If you read the meeting was tomorrow night (May 23) - that was a mistake!!  The meeting is always the last Tuesday of the month so this month it's May 30, 2017.  That May 23rd entry is now a bird (see meme).

We are onward to November. Congratulations to all the primary candidates in running aggressive campaigns. 
There are 188 days to the General Election. We will need some rowing oars in the water for this fall. There will be six, possibly seven, candidates vying for three seats. Candidates include:

Barth Cotner, (R)
Chris Long (R)
Aaron DeLong (R)
Kristin Bryant (D)
Stacie Baker (D)
Kelly Cruse (D)
Courtney Martin (I)*

This will be an all hands on deck to push our three candidates through to victory!

*Courtney Martin filed her petitions with the Franklin County Board of Elections on May 2, 2017 but has not been certified to the ballot yet.

A big thank you to everyone that turned out for our Annual Lincoln Day Dinner Thursday night. We had a great turnout and a wonderful evening! The activities for the Club keep rolling and we will keep you apprised. More pictures about the Dinner to be added next week, but just a little snippet of the evening:

10. “I’m only here because Stephanie McCloud called my mom when I wouldn’t return her calls.”
9. “What? Chicken for dinner? C’mon. Next you’ll tell me Ron O’Brien loves St. Paddy’s Day.”
8. “I heard the new Democrat slogan is ‘But we mean it this time.’”
7. “Is that Dan Skinner over there trying to start the wave?”
6. “Stephanie had a Five Hour Energy drink six hours ago. Somebody get Yost up there for Pete’s sake.”
5. “The corn dogs were really bland this year at the Reynoldsburg Democrat Dinner.”
4. “Stephanie McCloud is the Club President? I would totally take a Nerf bullet for her.”
